Media planning and buying

WWC is a Houston company, not a national firm with a Houston page. We have been buying Houston media for more than two decades: cable, streaming, search, YouTube TV, radio and outdoor, in one plan sized for the sixth-largest TV market in the country.

One plan, one budget, every channelIllustration. One plan sends budget to Search and PPC, YouTube, YouTube TV, Streaming TV, Programmatic, Cable on Xfinity, Broadcast, radio, outdoor. The market

Houston is the sixth-largest TV market in the US, with about 2.8 million TV homes in Nielsen's 2024-25 estimates (opens in a new tab). It is big, spread out and diverse, and no single channel covers it well.

Cable here is Xfinity. Its ad time is sold by Comcast Advertising (opens in a new tab), the local sales team formerly known as Effectv. A zone buy can cover the west side and skip the rest, and addressable TV can narrow that to the households that fit. Not every Houston home is on Xfinity, and plenty have no cable at all, which is why the plan never stops at cable.

Streaming fills the gap. We buy Hulu, Peacock, Max, Tubi and the rest by ZIP code, so a spot can run inside the Beltway, or in Katy, Cypress and The Woodlands, and nowhere else.

Then the drive. Long Houston commutes are made for radio and freeway billboards, and search is there when somebody gets to the office and looks you up.

What we buy here

Xfinity cable

Zone and addressable buys through Comcast Advertising, formerly Effectv.

Streaming TV by ZIP

Your spot on the streaming apps Houston watches, inside the ZIP codes you choose.

YouTube and YouTube TV

Local news and live sports on YouTube TV, and YouTube on every screen.

Search and PPC

Google Ads built for Houston searches, from near me to your own name.

Broadcast and radio

Houston stations and drive-time radio, negotiated and scheduled with the rest of the plan.

Outdoor

Freeway bulletins and digital boards on the commutes your customers drive.

  • Why use a Houston media buying agency?

Because the local details decide the buy: which cable zones cover your customers, which ZIP codes are worth streaming to, which freeways your audience drives. WWC is based in Houston and buys here, and we plan the market from the inside.

  • Who sells cable advertising in Houston?

Comcast Advertising, the ad sales team for Xfinity, which sold under the Effectv name until April 2025. We plan and buy it alongside streaming so the cable buy and the streaming buy aim at the same households.

  • Can we target just part of Houston?

Yes. Cable can be bought by zone, streaming and YouTube by ZIP code or radius, and search by city or radius. A plan can cover the whole market or only the neighborhoods you serve.

  • How big a budget does Houston need?

Houston is a large market, so covering all of it on TV costs more than in a smaller city. The trick is not to buy all of it. A tight geography or a focused audience lets a modest budget look big where it matters. We size it with you.

  • How big is the Houston TV market?

Sixth in the country, with about 2.8 million TV homes in Nielsen's 2024-25 estimates. Dallas-Fort Worth is fourth and Austin is 34th, per the same estimates (opens in a new tab).

Tell us where your customers are and what you spend now. We will map the cable zones, ZIP codes and channels that reach them.
