Mobile App
On-demand access changed how people get rides. Celeo applied the same idea to language. WWC developed the Celeo mobile app for Celeo Holdings, Inc., a product connecting people with professional interpreters the way ride-share apps connect riders with drivers. Celeo shipped in 2 versions, a public app for anyone who needs an interpreter and a dedicated edition built for medical institutions, where accurate interpretation carries real stakes. WWC handled the work end to end, from UX/UI design through app development, first as a native Swift build for iOS and later as a Flutter rebuild delivering iOS and Android from a single codebase, with MongoDB providing a flexible document data layer underneath. WWC then introduced the product with Say Hello to Celeo, a 28 second launch film produced in house.
Language barriers rarely wait for an appointment. Celeo Holdings, Inc. saw the opportunity to connect people with professional interpreters on demand, the way ride-share apps summon a driver, and needed a product that could serve 2 very different audiences, the general public and medical institutions, where a misunderstood sentence carries serious consequences. The assignment for WWC covered the full arc: design the user experience, engineer the app, build the data infrastructure underneath, and give the product a clear voice at launch.
WWC designed and developed Celeo across 2 phases and 2 editions. The original app shipped as a native Swift build, a public version for on-demand interpreter access alongside a dedicated version for medical institutions. A later phase rebuilt the product in Flutter, one codebase compiling to native experiences on iOS and Android so every feature, fix, and release lands on both platforms at once. MongoDB anchors the backend, a document database whose flexible schema lets the product evolve without disruptive migrations. WWC handled UX/UI design throughout, then produced Say Hello to Celeo in house, a 28 second launch film that gives the app a personality before a single screen is tapped.
Celeo launched on both the App Store and Google Play, putting on-demand interpretation within reach of anyone with a smartphone. From a single foundation, the product reached 2 distinct markets, a public app for everyday users and an institutional edition serving medical settings where professional interpretation matters most. More importantly, it turned a service that once meant scheduling and searching into something summoned in seconds, proof the on-demand model works wherever people need to understand each other.
