The #1 graduate school of public health in Texas needed a website that recruited like one. UTHealth Houston School of Public Health sits in the world's largest medical center and spans 6 campuses across Texas, giving students the chance to learn from leading experts across healthcare fields, a public health education like nowhere else. WWC, a Houston marketing and technology agency, designed and developed the school's website and user experience with one goal, increasing quality applications. The student-focused site streamlines areas of study and the application process, moving prospective students from program discovery to a submitted application with fewer detours. Built on dotCMS, connected to Salesforce, and supported by SEO, the site turns academic reputation into a clear path for the students the school most wants to reach.
Reputation attracts applicants. It does not sort them. UTHealth Houston School of Public Health, the #1 graduate school of public health in Texas, offers master's and doctoral programs across 5 academic departments and 6 campuses, from the Texas Medical Center in Houston to El Paso. That breadth is a strength for students and a challenge for a website, where prospective applicants must weigh degrees, campuses, and areas of study before they ever apply. The school asked WWC to design and develop a new website and user experience built around a single measure of success, more quality applications.
WWC rebuilt the UTHSPH web experience around the prospective student. Areas of study are organized so applicants can move from broad interest to a specific degree without decoding academic structure, and the application process is streamlined into a clear, guided path. The site runs on dotCMS, giving the school a manageable platform for a large, multi-campus content library, and WWC handled the Salesforce API integration and lead attribution, so admissions can trace every inquiry back to the program and channel that produced it. SEO ensures degree programs surface when students start searching, not after they have shortlisted elsewhere. Every choice on the site points toward one action, a completed, quality application.
Launch delivered on the single measure that mattered. Quality applications improved, and organic traffic increased across the board as degree programs began surfacing earlier in students' searches. Improved analytics and lead attribution now show admissions where applicants actually come from, program by program and channel by channel. The site continues to serve prospective students across all 6 campuses today. More importantly, it turns the reputation of the #1 graduate school of public health in Texas into applications the school can measure and grow.
