Scale is only an advantage if people know about it. Baker Nissan is the largest Nissan dealership in the Houston metroplex, a family-owned operation that has sold and serviced Nissans on the Northwest Freeway under the same name and ownership since 1990. In a category where every dealership makes the same offers in the same voice, that scale needed advertising built to carry it. WWC created the "XTREME" campaign, a retail advertising platform that turned Baker Nissan's size and selection into a single memorable idea and gave the dealership a voice as big as its lot. The result was advertising Houston car buyers could recognize instantly, and creative Baker Nissan could own long after any single promotion ended.
Size buys inventory, not recall. Baker Nissan earned its position the long way, a family-owned dealership operating under the same name and ownership since 1990, with an 86,000 square foot facility on 16 acres and one of the largest new Nissan inventories in Houston. But automotive retail is a category where every ad sounds alike, and scale alone does not cut through the weekend sales noise. Baker Nissan asked WWC for an advertising campaign that would separate it from every other Nissan store in the metroplex and give Houston drivers a reason to head to the Northwest Freeway first.
WWC developed the "XTREME" campaign, an advertising platform built around the one claim no competitor could make, Baker Nissan's standing as the largest Nissan dealership in the Houston metroplex. The campaign gave that scale a name and an attitude, turning inventory and selection into a high-energy retail message, then carried it across TV, radio, outdoor, and digital so Houston drivers met the same idea everywhere they looked and listened. Instead of cycling through disconnected offers, Baker Nissan gained a consistent creative platform, flexible enough to hold seasonal promotions while keeping the dealership unmistakable in a crowded Houston automotive market.
The "XTREME" campaign worked where retail advertising is judged, on the lot. Foot traffic at the dealership increased 22% as the campaign ran across TV, radio, outdoor, and digital, converting scale and selection into showroom visits. The work also earned a Gold ADDY Award, recognition for creative that sold as well as it read. More importantly, the campaign gave Baker Nissan something no single promotion can buy, a voice Houston recognizes before the offer is even read.
