Mobile App
Selling advanced drilling technology takes more than a spec sheet. ReedHycalog, a division of NOV, the oilfield technology company operating in more than 500 locations across 6 continents, offers a comprehensive portfolio of BHA components and the latest drilling and evaluation innovations that help operators optimize the drilling process. That depth is an advantage only when a sales team can present it clearly. WWC designed and developed a mobile application that puts ReedHycalog's specialized drill bits and borehole enlargement solutions in every seller's hands. Built with Flutter and backed by MongoDB, the app pairs a clean user experience with a refined interface, turning a deep, technical product line into a clear and confident sales conversation.
A deep catalog is only as strong as its delivery. ReedHycalog, a leading name in PDC and roller cone drill bits, offers a comprehensive portfolio of BHA components and the latest drilling and evaluation innovations to help operators optimize the drilling process. That range is a real competitive advantage, but the sales team needed a sharper way to present specialized, technical products in fast-moving field conversations. NOV asked WWC to design and build a mobile application that would put the full ReedHycalog story, from drill bits to borehole enlargement solutions, in the hands of every seller.
WWC designed and developed a mobile application built around the way ReedHycalog sells. The app showcases the division's specialized drill bits and borehole enlargement solutions in a format made for conversation, giving the sales team a fast, visual way to walk prospects through a technical portfolio. WWC shaped the product from user experience through interface design to engineering, building in Flutter with MongoDB behind it so the catalog stays organized and easy to navigate on the devices sellers already carry. The app works fully offline, built for rig sites and remote field locations where a connection is never guaranteed. The result is a sales tool as considered as the products it presents.
The app went where the selling happens. ReedHycalog's sales team put it to work in the field, using it to demonstrate new drilling technology in conversations far from any office, with offline capability keeping the full catalog available wherever the prospect stood. The tool was well received across a large sales organization and helped the team close more projects. More importantly, it turned a deep technical portfolio from something a seller describes into something a prospect can see.
