User Experience

A floor plan is where every home purchase begins, and today's shoppers expect to explore it on their own terms. David Weekley Homes, founded in Houston in 1976, has grown into one of the largest privately held home builders in America, spanning 13 states and 19 markets with more than 125,000 homes delivered. WWC, a Houston marketing and technology agency, developed an interactive floor plan and pricing tool for Weekley and various other home builders. Built with Flutter and MongoDB, the application lets home shoppers browse plans and pricing visually and interactively, on any screen. The project pairs app development, user experience design, and web design toward a single goal, helping a builder known for award-winning homes sell them the way modern buyers actually shop.

Scale creates complexity. David Weekley Homes builds across 13 states and 19 markets, and floor plans, options, and pricing vary from community to community. Presenting that much inventory through static pages makes it hard for shoppers to compare homes or understand what they cost. Weekley needed a way for buyers to explore plans and pricing interactively, and the same need existed across the homebuilding industry. The builder asked WWC to create the tool that answered it, built for Weekley first and flexible enough to serve other builders as well.

The interactive application WWC created lets home shoppers explore floor plans visually and see pricing as they browse, turning a complex catalog into a clear decision-making tool. Flutter powers the front end, delivering a fast, app-quality experience across devices, so the tool works wherever buyers research their next home. MongoDB structures the plan and pricing data behind it, flexible enough to support multiple builders with different products and markets. Every screen keeps the focus on helping buyers understand their options, from plan navigation to pricing display. One platform now serves David Weekley Homes and other builders alike.

Adoption tells the story. The platform WWC built for David Weekley Homes also serves other home builders, proof the experience solved a problem shared across the industry rather than a single client request. Home shoppers gained a clear, interactive way to explore floor plans and pricing on any device. More importantly, it gave David Weekley Homes a digital sales experience that matches the quality of the homes it sells.
