Diagnostic laboratories win on trust, and trust begins with how a brand presents itself. MedScan is a family-owned diagnostics company founded in 1996 with laboratories in North Dakota and Georgia and a Houston-based sister company, AltruDx. Together the labs serve more than 6,000 clients through collection sites in 49 states, covering toxicology, blood chemistry, molecular diagnostics, and next-generation cancer testing. WWC developed the full brand and identity for both MedScan and AltruDx, then extended that system through a new WordPress website, a searchable online database of lab tests, and printed collateral. User experience and web design work translated a complex diagnostics offering into a clear digital presence for clinics, providers, and patients. The result is a unified brand family that presents 2 sister labs as one credible national diagnostics partner.

Scale was never the problem. Founded in 1996, MedScan had grown into a family-owned laboratory network serving more than 6,000 clients through collection sites in 49 states, with its sister company AltruDx operating out of Houston. What the labs lacked was a brand presence built to match that reach. MedScan asked WWC to develop identities for both companies and to design a website and collateral that could present the 2 labs as a cohesive family, giving clinics, providers, and patients a clear picture of who they were working with.

WWC built one visual language with room for 2 companies. Full brand identities gave MedScan and AltruDx a shared foundation, letting each laboratory present itself clearly while signaling the connection between them. That system extended to a new WordPress website, where user experience and web design decisions organized a broad diagnostics offering, from toxicology and blood chemistry to molecular diagnostics and cancer testing, into pages clinics, providers, and patients can navigate quickly. WWC also built a searchable online database of every test the labs perform, turning the catalog into a working ordering tool. Sales sheets and printed collateral carried the identity beyond the screen, keeping every client touchpoint consistent.

The truest test of a build is whether it keeps working. The MedScan site remains live today exactly as WWC delivered it, and the searchable test database has become part of how the lab does business, used to this day by hundreds of businesses to find and order the tests they need. More importantly, the work turned a marketing website into operating infrastructure, a digital front door that does not just present the labs but takes their orders.
